Sutter Home awarded Mason with a $30,000 cash prize after three culinary judges tasted and declared her Happy Apple Day Swiss Burger the winner.

Sutter Home Family Vineyards, a longtime champion in the fight against breast cancer, announced today the winery’s renewed commitment to fighting breast cancer with the 20th annual Sutter Home for Hope campaign. As one of America’s first wine companies to make a commitment to breast cancer research, treatment and education, Sutter Home has contributed more than $1.5 million to the cause over the past 20 years.

1% for the Planet Member Bandit Wines Donates $104,000 to Environmental Nonprofits

Bandit Wines, the wine brand designed with exploration in mind, today announced its $104,000 donation to environmental nonprofits within the 1% for the Planet network. The donation follows Bandit Wines’ July 2019 commitment to donating one percent of annual sales to the 1% for the Planet organization’s network of nonprofit partners – each banded together to preserve the beautiful American landscapes that keep Bandit fans exploring. In further support of the cause, Bandit Wines today announced a Wine Seltzer line comprised of Rainier Cherry and Honeycrisp Apple offerings, both donning the 1% for the Planet logo and contributing to next year’s donation.

Trinchero Family Estates today announced the acquisition of Tres Agaves Tequila and organic mixers from Tres Agaves Products, LLC, a partner since 2012. Tequila continues to grow exponentially in retail, making the acquisition an important one for Trinchero Family Estates, the world’s second largest family-owned winery. Sutter Home Family Vineyards today announced the expansion of its portfolio with a line of 3L box offerings. Each $18 SRP, Sutter Home Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio are now shipping in the bag-in-box format nationwide. This move meets consumer demand for the $800 million segment, currently up 22 percent; the 3L box format is now the third largest size segment in the wine category and delivers more revenue than the 187mL, 250mL, 300mL, 375mL and 1L segments combined.

FRE Launches First Single-Serving Alcohol-Removed Wine

FRE – the No. 1 alcohol-removed wine brand – today entered the cans market with Sparkling Rosé and Sparkling Brut: the first single-serving alcohol-removed wines. Shipping on Jan. 30, FRE cans will be available in 250 mL four-packs for $11 SRP. Sparkling Rosé and Sparkling Brut in cans will join the brand’s existing portfolio that comprises 80 percent of the alcohol-removed wine segment with 750 mL Sparkling Brut, Moscato, White Zinfandel, Rosé, Chardonnay, Merlot, Red Blend and Cabernet Sauvignon.
