Humble Beginnings and the American Dream

Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits began over 75 years ago as a product of determination and a bit of luck, when Italian immigrant Mario Trinchero and his family left New York in pursuit of a better life across the country in Napa Valley, California.

The family purchased the Sutter Home winery, then one of only 15 wineries in Napa. The entire family—Mario, Mary, and their children Bob, Vera, and Roger—worked tirelessly for many long days and nights to build their business. Their dedication and innovative spirit culminated in Bob Trinchero’s accidental invention of White Zinfandel, a result of a stuck fermentation. The serendipitous creation quickly sold out and became the best-selling wine of its time.

Now one of the largest family-owned wineries in the US, Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits is comprised of more than 50 award-winning wine and spirits brands, distributed globally.
