Partnerships include Barton 1792 in Bardstown Kentucky, Willett in Bardstown Kentucky, Castle & Key in Frankfort Kentucky, and Charbay in Ukiah California. Each Amador Whiskey is then finished in different Trinchero Family wine barrels in Napa Valley for a complex and unique flavor profile.
Amador Double Barrel is a blend of straight bourbon whiskies aged in new charred American oak barrels for 3.5 years, which creates flavors of brown sugar, nuts, and baking spices. It is then finished in former medium toast French oak Chardonnay barrels for 6 months, which provides additional vanilla notes and a creamy mouthfeel. This “Double Barrel” aging technique creates characteristics from the individual barrels that are then blended together to make an exceptional tasting Bourbon, far greater than the sum of its parts.
